Welcome to the On-line South Metro Airport Action Council on-line Forum

The Board changed the Forum and other internet communications and business during 2014-15. However, we are restoring the Forum and Website because of unforeseen costs. We are applying altenative means for certain business functions that were incorporated in the web-site function. Registration at www.smaacmn.com will not necessarily transfer, and Members are encouraged to re-register if they did not pay dues for 2016 after November 1, 2015.

First used in 2007 as an alternative to quarterly print Newsletters or special notices and reports, SMAAC Bulletin Forums later added boards for SMAAC's semi-annual Key Topic Forums. SMAAC experimented with "virtual" forums, and conducted a completely on-line Candidate Forum in 2010 with a "virtual panel" of candidates for Governor.http://www.quiettheskies.org/11news/Summer2010Report.pdf.

SMAAC Bulletin Board Forums terms and conditions

1. NEWS BLOGS.

The News Blogs are public.  Anyone who can access the Internet can view these pages.

Registration to comment on the News Blogs are open to the public with Replies (comments) moderated.

2. SMAAC FORUMS

SMAAC Forums, the traditional speaker/panel presentations, are public.  Anyone who can access the Internet can view these pages.

SMAAC Forums always allowed time for discussion, questions and answers after the presentation.

Virtual Forum: As implemented on-line, the presentations are posted and discussion questions are answered by further posts.

Traditional Forum: After the public meeting, presentations and discussion at the actual meeting may be summarized on-line.
The Board may extend the Q&A session and involve more participants by posting Forum boards on line.

Participating and Volunteering.

SMAAC Supporters' User Group

The SMAAC Board of Directors authorized individuals,  Households or Groups to join SMAAC and renew their annual memberships by registering at SMAAC Forums and requesting SMAAC Supporters as their user-group

Persons registered in the SMAAC Supporters User Group are continued upon payment of dues or by arrangement through the Board of Directors.

Dues payments and contributions can be made though PayPal from the Forum or the
website (http://www.quiettheskies.org/smaacsignup.htm). These gifts NOT tax-deductible. SMAAC is registered as 501(C)(3) association, a not-for-profit corporation.

SMAAC Members electing to receive Notifications (messages from the Forum) and News Letters electronically are enrolled in the SMAAC Supporters Users Group, which has special privileges and access to most SMAAC business web pages.  Additional private user groups can be established for Board. Committee, or ad hoc groups.  For example, drafts can be posted, suggestions offered by Reply, and the document approved on-line.

This SMAAC Supporters Users Group (Members) will have privileges with respect to the E-News Letter blog, business pages and sending messages to other Members
